This is a RPG journal for the character of Dr. House. I do not own this character, and am making no money from this. Dr. House belongs to David Shore, the writers of House M.D., and Fox. ---
House is the head of the diagnostic department at Princeton Plainsborough Teaching Hospital (PPTH) in New Jersey. His relentless need to know everything and his remarkable ability to connect seemingly un-connectable dots makes him perfect for the job of diagnostician. He is a world-renowned doctor, and has a near perfect solve rate for medical cases.
Every gift must be balanced out by flaws, and House has his share of flaws. He is brash, arrogant, and sarcastic. He has driven away nearly everyone in his life. He only has one real friend - Dr. Wilson, the head of the oncology department - and a few people one might consider his allies, such as Dr. Cuddy, the Dean of Medicine at PPTH.
House was crippled several years ago by a blood clot in his thigh. His only symptom was severe pain, and the doctors didn’t diagnose the problem until after irreparable damage had been done. At that point, amputation of his leg was recommended, but House refused. Instead, a section of dead muscle was removed from his thigh. House is in chronic pain from the infarction, which he eases with Vicodin. He requires a cane for walking.
House is fluent in several languages and plays piano and guitar. He avoids work at all costs unless the case challenges him. He regards all patients as stupid creatures, but will never the less do anything to solve a patient’s case.
